At present, Yantian port is facing congestion. Since Yantian Port issued new regulations on export heavy containers in response to the COVID 19, Maersk, one and Herbert all issued corresponding measures.
1.Maersk
Maersk's official website released an update on the 29th, saying: due to the fact that positive cases of covid-19 have been reported at Yantian international container terminal. Therefore, all business of YICT in Western District will be suspended until further notice. The density of wharf yard remains high and the improvement is limited. At the same time, in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, we will continue to implement quarantine measures. Therefore, the operation in the eastern area is still going on, but the efficiency is still low. Maersk believes that the terminal will continue to be congested in the next week, with ships delayed for five days.
2. Ocean Network Express (ONE)
Ocean Network Express (one) recently announced that with the increasing density of Shenzhen Yantian international container terminal (YICT) yard, the congestion of the port is aggravating.
ONE pointed out that the western port of Yantian port is still in a suspended operation state, while the overall terminal operation efficiency is adversely affected, and it is expected that there will be congestion of the wharf and delay of berthing in the next week.
3.Hapag-Lloyd
The operation of Yantian international container terminal (YICT) is affected by covid-19. Herbert issued an update notice on the inbound arrangement of Yantian international export containers.
HPL took emergency measures and began to transfer the goods to Nansha.
SCT, CCT / MCT notice: Shekou / Chiwan will only receive export heavy containers within 5 days of ETA from June 1, 2021. Based on the current special period of epidemic prevention, SCT and CCT / MCT will only receive export heavy containers within 5 days of ETA from 0:00 on June 1, 2021, in order to ensure the safety production and service standards of the wharf. Please deliver the heavy containers to the wharf within 5 days before ETA. The terminal will inform the release time according to the subsequent situation.
